vt method prevents reboot with Xfce

The new “vt” method prevents reboot from the Xfce logout menu (the buttons are greyed out), while this method that was previously on the wiki works fine:

if [[ -z $DISPLAY && ! -a /tmp/.X11-unix/X0 && $(id -u) != 0 ]]; then
  exec startx

I’m starting Xfce with the recommended “exec startxfce4 --with-ck-launch” in .xinitrc (however I’m not executing the contents of /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d). Stqn (talk) 19:35, 6 October 2012 (UTC)

If that's the case, then your system is broken. ConsoleKit support has now been dropped anyway. thestinger (talk) 03:41, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
After updating, removing consolekit, going through the wiki (Xfce, Xinitrc, etc.) and fixing my startup files, and booting with systemd, it’s now working. Stqn (talk) 11:26, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
Nice! :), glad to see the updated docs are working for people. thestinger (talk) 16:53, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
