Too Little Information

The section "Building from AUR" is quite lacking. I did a clean install using the "Beginner's Guide" and then attempted to "Install sugar from the AUR" and found several challenges related to dependencies not being listed in the various packages needed by sugar. I still have not managed to install sugar as I suspect there are still more depencies that are missing. If some sort of 'defalut' Arch Linux installation is required beyond that accomplished by following the "Beginner's Guide" I think they should be mentioned here. Succeeded after some trial and error--it seems the final "makepkg -s" for package 'sugar' must be executed from within X...

It should not related to X. But still close it since the installation is success. --Fengchao (talk) 05:03, 5 February 2014 (UTC)

The information is still not up-to-date after so many years, and it's my fault. Someone else took over the responsibility for a while, but the initiative has not been completed. I never managed to give my younger siblings a taste of Sugar. I think if it still has relevance today I will take some time in the next coming months to put up something (like a binary repo of all available packages). Anyone is more than welcome to help. -- schiv (talk) 07:20, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
