user: command or username

Maybe a dumm question, but is the --user command supposed to be used as is in the whole article or is it that we should replace it with our username in some places? --Maevius (talk) 11:31, 17 November 2012 (UTC)

Yes, you should use --user. Think about it; if you had to specify your username, it would be instead something like --user=your-username. Having a flag like --your-username (including the --), would be too weird. Also, if you do man systemctl, you'll see the the option is --user. Chrisl (talk) 17:31, 8 January 2013 (UTC)
