What happened to the information on Eduroam?
I often check this page since it the only one I know of with information for configuring wpa_supplicant with Eduroam. Now its gone, its probably somewhere in the history, but since you can't search it... If someone could at least explain why that section was removed... Was it because the configuration varies? Well https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/WPA2_Enterprise#eduroam contains information for
- connman
- Wicd
- netctl

- You can browse the history here. My conclusion would be that there has never been an Eduroam section on this page, feel free to prove me wrong. -- Lahwaacz (talk) 19:08, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
- In the end your institution is reponsible for providing the right settings; from WPA2 Enterprise#eduroam:
- "Check connection details first with your institution before applying any profiles listed in this section. Example profiles are not guaranteed to work or match any security requirements"
- Furthermore WPA2 Enterprise#wpa_supplicant refers to the well-documented examples in
/etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
, so I don't see what's to add here. -- Alad (talk) 20:22, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
