was getting errors when trying to create a zpool using the whole disk without partions. These are on 4 3TB drives that once had a btrfs partiton on them. I am going to now zero out all of my drives with dd and see if I still get the error when trying to create a pool without partitions. Merging with Installing Arch Linux on ZFS?
Does it make sense to keep two different articles? What about just add the sections about how-to add zfs packages to the installation media and the trouble shooting here?

- I think most of the other article is actually wrongly placed. The information about the partition, formatting, and mounting are covered in the general installation guide, I am using zfs in a bios and efi system and I ignored it. What is really important is: adding zfs packages to the installation media, creating the pool and the fs for installation, and the kernel line to mount zfs root.
Max size of ZFS
On wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZFS )it is claimed that
A ZFS file system can store up to 256 quadrillion zettabytes (ZB)
This means to my understanding 256000 quadrillion exabyte. Here the claim is more moderate : 16 Exabyte. I suppose the difference comes from some 64/128 bit confusion and is of course more of theoretical interest.

- They aren't conflicting claims, they claim different things. Both the maximum file size on ZFS and the maximum volume size is 16EB, but the filesystem itself can be up to 256 quadrillion zettabytes. Kyrias (talk) 17:18, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
