Why did you? At least a discussion on the matter prior to just deleting it would've been in place. I agree with you that it's not the best way to do it, especially with the AUR at hand, but when I asked the same before I got a few replies from a few people who prefer this way. I think we should just keep it with a clear warning that it is _not_ the preferred way. Unia (talk) 10:16, 10 October 2013 (UTC)
: None of them point to the new article, they are all based on the outdated version. Earnest (talk) 15:01, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

: This is just another errant cretin who pasted this potentially dangerous crap in the archwiki which has become so godawful because of these similar changes (such as giant poorly written shell scripts).  I don’t want to see people installing packages in this manner and then having to deal with the damage it causes again.  If people want to do this then they can go to amd.com themselves and get the support there. Why did you remove the section on installing Catalyst directly from AMD?

Why did you? At least a discussion on the matter prior to just deleting it would've been in place. I agree with you that it's not the best way to do it, especially with the AUR at hand, but when I asked the same before I got a few replies from a few people who prefer this way. I think we should just keep it with a clear warning that it is _not_ the preferred way. Unia (talk) 10:16, 10 October 2013 (UTC)

I don’t want to see people installing packages in this manner and then having to deal with the damage it causes again.
