I started out pulling together info from several Arch and Gentoo wiki pages for a comprehensive Change Root guide at SuperUser. Then I wanted to import this more detailed info back into the Arch wiki, and streamline some of the duplicate content (chroot instructions were/are scattered around at several places).

Though I may not stick to wiki conventions, please be kind.  I appreciate conversations about their content, and it is those conversations that I'd like to focus on.  Thank you for reading.

: Sounds good.  The article is pretty up-to-date but I do see a couple things that could get updated which is probably what  you see.  From the top of my head a these two come to mind: original kernel being used (i.e. some devices may not function); I've mentioned this before, but do you know if /dev/pts need be added?  --Gen2ly 05:17, 16 February 2012 (EST)

VDI mounting
Hi Gen2ly,

It's really great you take upon the task of maintaining the VDI mount explanation on the VirtualBox article. When I was rewriting the article, I was stuck on that problem and couldn't make working the only solution that was published at that time. Do you have tried it, before publishing yours? I tried the mount.vdi script, I could mount the disk and see the partitions, but couldn't mount them. I'll searched all the web, and it was the only solution I got from my search results.

If the solution you recently published is working flawlessly (I haven't tried it yet), maybe will it be worth to remove the old one (which was not working for me).

Hi, please use the edit summary for every edit you make, even the minor ones. Also please don't mark non-minor edits as minor. I'd suggest you to go to Special:Preferences and uncheck "Mark all edits minor by default" and check "Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary". -- Lahwaacz (talk) 19:03, 17 August 2014 (UTC)

:Also, please don't make big changes to an article in a single edit, but split them into a succession of small edits to make their diffs easier to understand for the users with whom you share the wiki. For example, recent edits like , and should have been split and better justified ("Reorder", "Debugging" and "- doh" are not edit summaries). -- Kynikos (talk) 14:09, 7 September 2014 (UTC)

Re , please do not use HTML (as mentioned in and Help:Style#HTML_tags), and avoid making larger changes in one edit (to make the diffs easier to read). Thank you. -- Alad (talk) 23:25, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

:Same for ; while it improves the article, the diff is hard to understand. -- Alad (talk) 21:58, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
