|−|Hi. You accidentally removed most of the content on the Beginners' Guide/Installation with Beginners%27_Guide%2FInstallation&action= historysubmit&diff=148104&oldid=146869 these changes so I rolled it back. I was going to replace the old section on the page with yours, but I realized that the core install CD will still have to use the old rc.conf syntax before being updated. I kept your replacement section at Talk:Beginners' Guide/Installation for now (where we can figure out what to do). Not sure what a proper solution is, since the netinstall will have the new syntax (I think). thestinger 01:09, 4 July 2011 (EDT) |+|

|−|:Hey. Was no accident. Good point about the ISO not reflecting the changes though. On the other hand, as soon as the user updates the system, these new changes will be affecting the system. Perhaps best to leave the new info in the guide with a note about a first update? | |
