moving != copy-pasting

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I've had to fix your attempt to rename Modprobed db to Modprobed-db, as what you did was creating the new page, pasting the content from the other one there and redirecting the old page: this has the consequence of leaving all the history of the edits on the redirect page, hiding all the credits to its contributors. Please next time make proper use of the "move" tool accessible from the top of each article. -- Kynikos (talk) 04:36, 17 November 2013 (UTC)

Thanks, never noticed the option before. Graysky (talk) 10:12, 17 November 2013 (UTC)

NFSv3 static ports

I have completely reverted your edit deleting all information I painstakingly added for NFSv3 static ports. This information is not "outdated", NFSv3 is very much still a part of the NFS world. Your other minor edits need redone.

My bad, thought v3 was deprecated and wanted to streamline the article. Regards. Graysky (talk) 20:29, 21 September 2014 (UTC)

Edit summaries

Thank you for your your contributions to ArchWiki. Please make sure to include an edit summary with every edit, even minor ones, as this is helpful when browsing an article's history. I'd suggest you to go to Special:Preferences and check "Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary".

My bad on not commenting minor revisions; didn't think that was useful to people. The preferences was not known to me, thanks! Graysky (talk) 15:35, 22 September 2014 (UTC)

Nfs - restarting server != start server

I noticed you rewrote my addition to the nfs page, but thereby changed the intended meaning. My original point was not that the server needed starting, but that it neede REstarting after changing the exports-file. Please update or revert accordingly Spider.007 (talk) 09:13, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

Including the comment there breaks the flow of the article since you are teaching readers to restart a service that they have not yet been told to start :) Additionally, I believe that step superfluous. Notices the upstream comment in /etc/exports:

# Use `exportfs -arv` to reload.

Try the test case: have your setup running with a given set of exports. Now simply add another to /etc/exports and then run `exportfs -arv` followed by:

showmount -e localhost

In my tests, a restart of the server is not required to pickup the changes. Graysky (talk) 12:03, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
