Christmas Cleanup

Hi, can you explain why you performed this edit?

In any case, the correct command is:

# rc.d start nginx

And not:

sudo rc.d nginx start

Please, next time use the "Summary" field in the editor page to provide an explanation for your edits, thank you. -- Kynikos 08:15, 13 October 2011 (EDT)

Hi, sorry, I first changed it to something else entirely, relized my mistake and then wanted to change it back to the original text, but forgot to change the "sudo" back to "#". Mea culpa. --Trontonic 08:46, 13 October 2011 (EDT)
I've switched the arguments to the correct order. I guess you removed:
Check that /etc/rc.d/nginx has this line correct:

because it's not necessary, am I right? Or its removal was a mistake too?
Excuse my fussiness but there are (very few) users who try to prevent pages from losing useful content, so we have to ask for explanations when we're not into the subject of the article. -- Kynikos 06:21, 14 October 2011 (EDT)
Hi, yes, those lines were removed on purpose. From what I can gather from my own /etc/rc.d/nginx, it's not called PID but NGINX_PID, and it seems to be set correctly already. I will remember to use the summary field next time. Thanks for maintaining the wiki. --Trontonic 10:21, 14 October 2011 (EDT)
Perfect, thank you for answering. -- Kynikos 11:15, 14 October 2011 (EDT)
