.service is not necessary

Hi, you do not need to add .service to systemctl command. See Systemd#Using units.

When using systemctl, you generally have to specify the complete name of the unit file, including its suffix, for example sshd.socket. There are however a few shortforms when specifying the unit in the following systemctl commands: If you don't specify the suffix, systemctl will assume .service. For example, netcfg and netcfg.service are treated equivalent. -- Fengchao (talk) 00:37, 14 January 2013 (UTC)

Yes! You're right .. I have fallen behind with the latest implementations of systemd. A user has had problems of a service (gdm) and I read in the guidebook that the suffix ". Service" was missing. But I made a mistake, the italian user "Ambro" who runs the Italian page of systemd me promptly informed. If you have not already done so I'll take care to correct the mistakes made. Thanks for your report!Veleno (talk) 12:22, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
They are not mistakes. Both of them exist in Arch Wiki. But it seems using without .service is more. Maybe we can make a new style rule. -- Fengchao (talk) 14:09, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
True! Some pages use a suffix. "service", while others do not. This may confuse the user. Maybe we should find a common line. you may ask kinikos to make a bot to measure.Veleno (talk) 19:56, 17 January 2013 (UTC)

Ehi Veleno, mi è appena venuto in mente che dato che mantieni List of Applications/Games (Italiano) e Netbook Games (Italiano) forse ti interessa seguire Talk:List of Applications/Games#Classification method per sapere quel che sta succedendo ;) -- Kynikos (talk) 16:03, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
