How about instead we list at the top all the different models and their devices and instead group the subsections by which devices to install and overall eee pc performance improvements? --Tama00 22:04, 30 December 2010 (EST)

This is getting as lengthy and unreadable as the last page already...someone needs to reign it in and keep stuff not needed by every Eee user off here. Toofishes 23:52, 29 July 2008 (EDT)

True enough, and I agree. Maybe a separate page for each set of hardware is called for, with all the globally applicable things on this page. I'm a newbie wiki editor myself, so I just put up the networking steps that are necessary for all the new Eees. I am fairly well aware that it needs to be reworked a bit, truer to the style of a wiki. I apologize for infesting the wiki with my noob-ish ways. :P --delcake 09:21, 30 July 2008 (EDT)

Generic ACPI script package

I created a package to unify ACPI events handling in all models. It is inspired from all other different packages. Its name is acpi-eeepc-generic and you can find it on AUR.

Actually it should work on these models: 700, 701, 900, 900A, 901, 904HD, S101, 1000, 1000H and 1000HD. Can somebody with one of these test it on their machine? I only own a 1000 but it works flawlessly here. Please test and report here, directly to me, on the AUR page or on the 1000 wiki entry. Thank you! :) --big_gie 12:30, 21 January 2009 (EDT)
