Is the user supposed to create /etc/sysconfig and /etc/sysconfig/chronyd? This sounds a bit odd, so should maybe be explicit if so? --cfr (talk) 19:41, 7 November 2022 (UTC)

For intermittently running desktops

An example was given of Arch running 5 years straight and resulting in accumulated a 300 s error within the RTC. How is this possible when Arch Linux kernels have hardware clock syncing to system clock every 11 minutes by default (System time#Automatic syncing)? The preferred recommendation of rtcfile over rtcsync seems ill-advised. Zff (talk) 20:42, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
