Explicitly express the preferred notification daemon / Permanently disable dunst (or others)

I have run into this issue when I installed dunst for hyprlands but go back to KDE. Dunst is started automatically and there is no direct way to go back to KDE's notification daemon. After quite a bit of searching, I found this answer which allows to "explicitly express preference" of notification daemons. It works for me.

I'm aware there is a information box of Dunst's wiki page. Just wondering which one is outdated / problematic? Should this method be added as a section to, e.g., Troubleshooting? --Renyuneyun (talk) 15:17, 6 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
