Pulse-Eight: Unreliable wake-on-CEC
I have personally found wake-on-CEC with the Pulse-Eight adapted to be unreliable, at least with the setup I have documented on this page. Once my TV has been turned off and back on (so that it needs to re-discover its CEC devices), if the PC has been suspended for some time, it seems like the CEC adapter stops registering properly, such that the TV will not try sending it CEC commands causing it to wake up the host PC.
Autonomous mode is still somewhat mysterious to me (I have not found any documentation about it), and the whole suspend-wakeup thing makes it difficult for me to figure out how to debug the issue. I have recently gotten a second device that would allow me to monitor CEC traffic (a Framework HDMI module), so I may try looking into this later on. Victoire (talk) 16:15, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
