Is it necessary to create a systemd unit?
At IPFS#Using a service to start the daemon, the first action mentioned is to create your own systemd service unit at
~/.config/systemd/user/ipfs.service. However, before that the user is instructed to install , which already provides file
/usr/lib/systemd/user/ipfs.service, which is functionally identical. As a result, the unit the user is instructed to create overrides the one provided by the package. I feel like this is potentially harmful as then the user will miss out if the package gets updated with a different version of this service. Hence I feel like that part of that section should be removed. Architector4 (talk) 09:43, 21 December 2020 (UTC)
