Wayland vs. X11, mouse vs. keyboard

There should be separate sections for Wayland and X11. This page seems written as if the same remapping methods apply whether you are on Wayland or X11. This seems very unlikely. Some of the tools listed are Wayland or X11-only, for one. These should be separate sections.

Same for mouse vs. keyboard. I can't tell which tools remap the mouse buttons, which are for keyboard, and which are both. These should be separated also. Ujones (talk) 20:01, 21 September 2025 (UTC)

The majority of tools actually work for both X11 and Wayland, and while some are keyboard only, many work on both keyboard and mouse - while none are mouse-only. Do you have any suggestions on how they could be separated? I fear, given these overlaps, that too much separation could be confusing. Tobiwan.kenobi (talk) 18:24, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
