Adding PATH

I do not know if warnings are important but to my .bashrc I added PATH="/home/username/.gem/ruby/2.1.0/bin:$PATH" —This unsigned comment is by Costis (talk) 00:18, 2014 December 17. Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

I think that's only if you go for the gem approach rather than the AUR. The PATH modification regards all gems, not just Jekyll. See Ruby#Setup. Silverhammermba (talk) 00:36, 17 December 2014 (UTC)

Wrong system-wide installation

"Jekyll can then be installed for all users on the machine using the gem command as root. " - I did that, but it installed into a local directory for root. Ynikitenko (talk) 10:00, 2 July 2022 (UTC)

- yes, and dangerous advice as we'd be giving free reign to gems to do anything to our system. I've removed that root install advice. Ttoirrah (talk) 08:20, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
