From ArchWiki

Hi, I wanted to add a section to the Acer wiki page, specifically for the Acer Aspire 3 a315-56 model.

The full details of my problem and the solution to it are presented in this forum page:,3916.0.html

But to give a summary, my laptop model has a specific UEFI firmware quirk where if you do not put the laptop to sleep, you cannot see the internal storage connected to the SATA interface.

The solution is to essentially put the laptop to sleep in the inital ramdisk stage of the boot process before the block devices specified in fstab get mounted, using an early hook.

Now before you point out that this is Artix, both the problem and the solution have been seen and fully tested on Arch Linux.

I am also new to wiki editing, so I ask you to forgive me for any mistakes I make.

Will want to hear back from you while I prepare an article to add to the wiki page.
