Not working

I have a ThinkPad P16s Gen 2 AMD, and I have the same problems as described in the article, but neither solution works.

That is:

- I have installed the modules `alsa-firmware` and `sof-firmware` but my mic mute LED is still constantly on

- I put the described ath11k_pci script at the described place, but I still have a blackscreen/freeze when waking up Jbirnick (talk) 23:51, 17 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hm... Strange. I use PipeWire and the mute LED works with the two packages. It probably only need either of the two, but I couldn't be bothered trying which one is the one working in this case.
In terms of that script, are you using something other than NetworkManager or systemd-networkd? Perhaps, are you using iwd? I've found that leaving any sort of daemon that controls WiFi alive prevents a successful unload of the problematic driver, which leads to the freeze still occurring for a few minutes until it does eventually resolve itself. My mic mute LED is on when I log in, and when I press Fn+F4 to toggle the mute, the LED remains on. The LED changes once I restart the pipewire. I don't know why, but it works.
systemctl --user restart pipewire DarrenZ (talk) 05:01, 6 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Same issue, I can't seem to find a way to toggle the led state. It worked fine on fedora so I assume it's some configuration mismatch, I'll try diffing alsa ucm rules and sof firmware Luca020400 (talk) 00:14, 25 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Indeed updating the ucm rules to whatever fedora 42 uses solves it. Luca020400 (talk) 01:50, 25 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
