Template:Hidden category

A special template to be included on all hidden categories.

It will include a description message and the __HIDDENCAT__ magic word which hides the category and sets it as a child of the category set in MediaWiki:Hidden-category-category.

Usage

The template should be included at the top of every hidden category:

{{Hidden category}}

This is a hidden category, i.e. it is not displayed at the top of member pages among normal categories.

Users can choose to see hidden categories in a separate "Hidden categories" list by checking "Show hidden categories" in Special:Preferences#Appearance.
