Getting Started
First of all, why host a mirror? The modern Archlinux package servers are quite fast, and private mirrors are discouraged in light of Shared pacman caches. My goal here is to learn about the hosting process and discover if this is a method by which I can give back to the Archlinux community. If this self-hosted mirror is not of genuine use to anyone but me I intend to take it down.

Hosting on FreeBSD Jail
After the jail is setup, install the required packages:
rsync, apache24.
