From ArchWiki

I just noticed a few of your recent edits where pacman -S pkgname was changed to pacman -Sy pkgname. Please avoid the latter -- see pacman -Sy <somepkg>: Why is this bad?. -- pointone 16:40, 5 April 2011 (EDT)

OK, understood. -- KerrickStaley 18:20, 5 April 2011 (EDT)

undo in Help:Style

Hi, I'm explaining my undo to one of your edits in Help:Style:

  • About instruction phrasings, we have never discussed about the possibility of using only one, not allowing for adaptations, so I invite you to start a discussion on that providing your arguments
  • About the alternative phrasing examples, they are needed in case somebody needs to use the application name in the sentence (for example the package's name doesn't resemble too much the app name) and wonders how to do that
  • About <br />, google it around, for example read http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1946426/html-5-is-it-br-br-or-br
  • About the repository/multilib edit, we discussed the problem, and chose the "whitelist" way also because there are other official repositories like the [*testing]s

I think I've explained everything, please let me know if you still have any doubts.
