KDE seems to autostart xsettingsd
Apparently kded somehow starts xsettingsd using systemd on login for the user. I was looking around for ages why it is running. I still didn't find the exact method it starts. Some more info here: https://github.com/KDE/kde-gtk-config

- xsettingsd.service is set up as a part of graphical-session.target (literally, it has "PartOf=" option).
So it starts always when graphical-session.target does.For desktop environments like KDE or GNOME starting of graphical-settion.target is achieved by their corresponding systemd unit files, and for window managers you might need to configure it manually.
