New Page: Creating Amazon Machine Instances (AMIs) for Arch

I'm interested in writing a wiki page on how to create an Arch Linux AMI (Amazon machine instance) for AWS EC2. Would that be useful?

This current page is useful for people who want to use an existing Arch AMI. It does not discuss how someone can create their own AMI. The Uplink Labs webpage has some super helpful notes, but a lot is missing.

Thoughts? Qqsullivan (talk) 15:38, 14 December 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Did you see the link to the Gitlab project below the Uplink Labs link? I maintain it and it contains both code and explanations of how to do it. PRs or issues welcome if anything is not working. If you think this is something that should be maintained in the wiki itself, why not, but it's a lot of content and also somewhat of a moving target. Thanks, I missed the link. Good to see another way of getting there! Qqsullivan (talk) 22:55, 14 December 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
