Other Cryptocurrencies

I noticed this is the only real and complete page on any cryptocurrency in the Arch Wiki, perhaps with a bit too much information. Maybe it needs a split or more generalities?

More importantly, from the perspective of OS Users, it seems like we might be better served by something that addresses cryptocurrencies as a whole, or maybe 2 pages: Cryptocurrency Mining and Cryptocurrency User/Trading that delves into setup of each of the roles for each currency in Arch. I suspect this could eventually split into pages per currency. Discussion? Physicist1616 (talk) 00:03, 24 October 2017 (UTC)

Which cryptocurrencies do you have in mind? Note that most of the previous discussions lead to flame wars, so let's avoid that. Any controversial topic will simply not be covered on this wiki. -- Lahwaacz (talk) 14:59, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
Bitcoin (Obviously, but also ASIC miners and the main intermediary currency), Ethereum (GPU miners and recently successful), and Monero (CPU miners and allegedly more focused on privacy than others). I'm not shilling for any of those and so would be fine discussing an alternative to any or adding more to the list. The diversity in how each of those three are mined attracted me. I can't imagine what flame wars could happen other than, "mine is better than yours". Perhaps that's just a failure of imagination. Ok, read the history; yeah, philosophy doesn't belong here, nor does excess detail on how and why or where BTC is going/splitting/etc. This is an OS wiki.
