A template for marking dead links along with the date they were discovered. This replaces the use of HTML comments that go unnoticed when not editing the source and makes it easy to find dead links on the wiki by checking Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:Dead link.

Dead links can be partially checked by a bot.

Usage

  • 2 Month
  • 3 Day
  • status Optional text indicating the link status when it was last checked. It can be either the HTTP status code or a human-readable description such as "redirects to different domain". A ⓘ symbol indicates the presence of some status text, which is displayed in a tooltip when hovering the mouse cursor on the template.
