so any good reason to suggest deleting ArchTrack/aur or you just messing around? -- Ryooichi 14:28, 27 April 2011 (EDT)

My mistake..didn't realize it was a template! I'll be leaving these alone from now on..--Multiphrenic 14:34, 27 April 2011 (EDT)
thank you! -- Ryooichi 14:38, 27 April 2011 (EDT)
...now that I'm thinking about it, should these be categorized? I'd be happy to help you move them.--Multiphrenic 14:41, 27 April 2011 (EDT)
wouldn't categories be used more for a set of pages around a central theme? why do you think categorizing them would be beneficial? this is a single page with a lot of small things repeating, hence the use of subpage templates. -- Ryooichi 16:53, 28 April 2011 (EDT)
As a best-practice, every page should have a category. Normally, categories are for articles around a central theme, but you can also have categories for maintenance purposes as well, e.g. a category for templates, or in this case I'd suggest a category for ArchTrack templates. This would have the added benefit of creating a dynamic page where all your templates can easily be accessed.
To give you some background, this started as an idea I had to develop a set of guidelines for articles to encourage consistency across the Wiki. I'm taking most of my best practices from what I've been reading on Wikipedia, and one goal I have is to clean up categories. This means there should only be one category without a parent and all pages should belong to at least one category. From there, we would be able to improve the list of topics and make the wiki easier to browse. Interested in your thoughts..cheers.--Multiphrenic 18:43, 28 April 2011 (EDT)
