All the link to the configuration files seems to be incorrect, also the no-root package does not exist anymore, as the main package uses dynamic user. Looks like the page is active so I will not fix it right now just to make sure is all good with you

“Disabled” on AMDGPU
I'm back! On a new account.
I wanted to clarify I now ordered steps from least to most "destructive" to an GPGPU environment.
Also, the workaround will be needed until Folding@home update their shipped libstdc++ lib to work along with ROCm.

- I wonder whether this section is needed anymore though, I have a Radeon RX9070XT (Navi 42), and FAH works perfectly fine with Ubuntu-packaged ROCm 7.1.0 opencl-amdAUR. It also works happily with multiple OpenCL drivers installed (I do explicitly ask it to pick up the ROCm driver with

- For me, opencl-mesa did not work, and I had to install rocm-opencl-runtime. Leaving multiple vendors installed did not cause problems though, even without explicitly picking which one. I was wondering how the location of the Folding@home
libstdc++.so.6works though? Mine was in/var/lib/fah-client/cores/openmm-core-27/centos-7.9.2009-64bit/release/fahcore-27-centos-7.9.2009-64bit-release-8.2.1, but I imagine the directory changes when the openmm-core version changes. Would/var/lib/fah-client/cores/openmm-core-*/centos-*-64bit/release/fahcore-*-centos-*-64bit-release-*be the correct way to document this in the wiki? - This section may not be AMD-specific anymore. I just had to delete the bundled copy of libstdc++ from a core to get folding working on an Intel Arc B580. In my case it was Core version 23, and the library was a couple versions behind the one in /usr/lib (3.4.31 vs 3.4.36), which led to the core not recognizing the GPU as an OpenCL device, while the fah-client recognized it no problem. So... I guess intel-compute-runtime is also affected (at least in some cases)? DeletedFolder (talk) 15:44, 3 August 2026 (UTC)

The Service to start is fah-client.service.
The foldingathome-nvidia.service isn't needed anymore.
