suspend

Suspends works for me on Archlinux using `sudo systemctl suspend`. Shall I change the wiki? Hendry (talk) 04:48, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

Suspending to RAM via Plasma 5's UI has been mostly working out of the box for me ever since I got the laptop a couple months ago. There seems to be a minor bug, though. Most of the time, things work as expected: the screen fades to black, and the laptop goes into suspend. Sometimes, though, the Plasma desktop appears again, and it takes several seconds before the laptop suspends. Occasionally, I have to tell it to suspend a second time before it will actually suspend, but this is rather rare. -- Liujed (talk) 05:29, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

I have not had any issues with suspend since getting the laptop, I'm using linux-4.0.5-1, xf86-video-intel-git, and i915.enable_ips=0. I am curious if this is now completely addressed with all/some combination of these? Though I don't use a compositing window manager or anything like that, just xfce4+openbox, so I can't speak to users of those, but, for me, it's been fine so far.--LXXero (talk) 07:50, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

Using 'systemctl suspend' works fine for me, too. I'm on linux-4.1.1 and have 'i915.enable_ips=0' set and have never experienced problems, even before the update to 4.1.1. I'm using spectrwm as my wm. --Zuglufttier (talk) 08:31, 9 July 2015 (UTC)

track pad

I installed the Dec 1st, 2016 image (kernel 4.8.13-1) and none of the set-prop properties discussed in the trackpad section, seem to exist anymore. bronze (talk) 13:02, 27 dec 2016 (central usa)

I got it to work with these instructions: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Touchpad_Synaptics#Natural_scrolling. Had to copy the file from usr to etc (per instructions in file in usr). Next, I had to add the Vert and HorizScrollDelta, as well as the negative values.

Grrr, that also didnt survive a resume or reboot.

I personally found the trackpad unusable as I've documented on my blog and recommend people just turn it off. Linux 4.x doesn't help. Hendry (talk) 04:48, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

Working nicely for me with 4.0.4-2-ARCH and xf86-input-synaptics 1.8.2-2. Is this still happening to anyone? Antoniovazquez

I have turned off the track pad in BIOS but it's still usable. The scroll button (the button between the left and right click) didn't work for me without these settings in .xinitrc:

Audio

I had problems with the headphone jack making white and popping noises. The white noise was always present, and on startup and shutdown it would make popping noises.
