SN730 SDBPNTY-1T00-1101 11170001 firmware s0ix drain

Unfortunately it doesn't seem like there's a way to mitigate this issue as I am unable to downgrade the firmware to the only other firmware release: 11110000. I tried both nvme-cli in Linux and "Western Digital Dashboard" in Windows.

$ sudo nvme fw-download -f 11110000.fluf /dev/nvme0 && sudo nvme fw-commit -s 0h -a 1 /dev/nvme0
Firmware download success
NVMe status: Invalid Firmware Image: The firmware image specified for activation is invalid and not loaded by the controller(0x4107)

I filed a bug report with Western Digital support with regards to this issue. Here was their reply:

"The drives which are sold and shipped in an OEM manufactures device. Western Digital does not provide Technical Support, Firmware Updates or Warranty Services for OEM drives. The firmware on these drives are custom built and are directly supplied and manage by the OEM manufactures device."

They went on to inform me that the only option was to contact Lenovo.
