Talk:SCP and SFTP

Incorrect 'Considered for redirection' banner?

The page banner reads

This article is being considered for redirection to SFTP chroot.
Notes: Instructions are moved and merged into SFTP chroot. (Discuss in Talk:SCP and SFTP#)

However this Talk page is empty, and the SFTP chroot Talk page doesn't mention work on merging pages/redirection. I can't find any trace of this in the page logs either. Should we remove the banner?

Hm, yes. Actually I think merging was considered before. I think it's more useful to merge parts like SFTP chroot#Alternatives to SFTP over here first. Next, one should check if SCP and SFTP#Secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) with a chroot jail is covered in SFTP chroot, or can be combined/merged. If it looks more sensible to merge the articles fully at that point, my favorite merge target would be this one, since it is more general than SFTP chroot.--Indigo (talk) 09:18, 22 December 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]
