Status

The information is still not up-to-date after so many years, and it's my fault. Someone else took over the responsibility for a while, but the initiative has not been completed. I never managed to give my younger siblings a taste of Sugar. I think if it still has relevance today I will take some time in the next coming months to put up something (like a binary repo of all available packages). I would really appreciate if someone expanded the "Building from AUR" section. I want to setup an old Thinkpad X41 for my five year old son so we can play with Turtle (logo) together. I made an earlier attempt to get everything working on a clean install of Arch but untimately failed. I managed to install X and LightDM however when I try to login the screen flashes and I am dumped back at the LightDM login screen. If I run startx instead of using LightDM, and then from inside X run "sugar" nothing happens. I feel like I am really missing something fundamental here but I am at a loss and there are apparently not enough other people as confused as me because Google is not helping : / I know this is not a support forum but I am really not sure how to move forward from here. I have spent hours troubleshooting LightDM and Sugar but I suspect I am missing something that no one is mentioning because it is obvious to everyone but me. DRB (talk) 19:16, 22 June 2014 (UTC)
