Talk:USB Scanner Support

Although I followed the steps here my HP Scanjet 4370 could not be used by a non-root user but then I saw a post on another forum suggesting "UDEV" needed to be restarted. In the end I just rebooted the whole PC and then it all worked. Just thought, since there is no mention of a need to restart udev, might this be important ? regards

It seems that the other article covers most of whats covered here, and is a little more recent. The material in the section about network sharing is not in the Sane article though.
