I've been using computers since I bought my Commodore Amiga in 1989. That's also when i started getting online with my 1200 baud dial-up modem. Yes, that is before the existence of AOL, PPP, or even HTML. I used to use Archie and Gopher and thought HTML was just a fad. I guess I was wrong :) I built and repaired desktops, laptops, workstations and servers for six years for a computer company in Phoenix, AZ until they folded in 2001. Most recently I did tech support for AT&T's U-Verse Internet, TV and Phone services.

I've dabbled with Linux since Redhat 5.0 and tried several other such as Corel Linux, Slackware, etc. It wasn't until I tried Ubuntu 8.04 that I took the plunge and converted all my laptops and workstations to Linux. I also ran Fedora (16-17) on my primary system for a year. I switched from Ubuntu to Fedora so I could be closer to upstream and have more up to date software but still found myself behind the curve. Then I discovered Arch Linux! I love how I can build my system from the ground up and fine tune it with only the software I use. I continue to actively promote Ubuntu and Fedora to my friends and coworkers.
