Should this page be merged to Transport Layer Security? --Fengchao (talk) 07:03, 28 September 2022 (UTC)

Not in its current form: a third of the page concerns other distributions.
For the rest:
I also do not see any links to this page from Ca-certificates, which redirects to Transport Layer Security.

Chinese translate page merged to Network_Security_ServicesTransport_Layer_Security and OpenSSL about 30 days ago. 霧雨 魔理沙 です (talk) 00:23, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
Thanks. Close. --Fengchao (talk) 03:47, 6 October 2022 (UTC)
Thanks for merging what useful content was not already present on the other pages, but you have not answered me about what links to this page. --Erus Iluvatar (talk) 05:16, 6 October 2022 (UTC)
Main page should not link to user's page. So there is no link. That's another reason that a draft page not be moved to User's namespace.
Here are the history that lead to current state:
1. Some user create this page, it should be merged to other pages and archived.
2. But it is moved to user's namespace. And user's namespace is not archivable.
So what should be done to archive this page? Move it back to main namespace first?
--Fengchao (talk) 05:38, 6 October 2022 (UTC)
I'm sorry to insist, but could you double check the page history? As far as I can tell, this page has never been in the main namespace! The rest of your reasoning is thus resting on an erroneous belief. --Erus Iluvatar (talk) 06:27, 6 October 2022 (UTC)
I need to say that I pushed this page to main namespace about months ago,but an administrator removed that page just after I pushed it after days.霧雨 魔理沙 です (talk) 23:41, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
Yes, I had seen that and I agree with the rationale behind moving it back into userspace: unless a user's page belongs in the main namespace (which this page did not when you translated it, being a third about other distributions) it should not be translated into the main space. --Erus Iluvatar (talk) 05:52, 10 October 2022 (UTC)
And,a net friend was merge something useful form chinese translation page to Network_Security_Services,Transport_Layer_Security and OpenSSL 霧雨 魔理沙 です (talk) 23:48, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
On that point I agree: if a user's page has valuable content it should be merged to the relevant existing pages. In the unlikely event that a full page is ready to be put into the main space, does not fit into an existing page and has not been already moved by its author, I think the creator of the user page should be reached to first, and in absence of an answer in a week can the page be created in the main name space without touching the user's page. --Erus Iluvatar (talk) 05:52, 10 October 2022 (UTC)
