Complex edit
Hi, [1] is a complex edit, discouraged by ArchWiki:Contributing#The 3 fundamental rules. Can you give a better explanation of why you think your revision is better than the previous? -- Kynikos (talk) 16:06, 11 June 2020 (UTC)
Hi, sorry, I wasn't aware of these fundamental rules, I will read them asap. I put my explanation in the article discussion, https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Talk:Dm-crypt/Encrypting_a_non-root_file_system Thanks for the hint Kynikos !

Solicitation RE: Bluetooth Edit to Include btlescan
Hi. I see that you chose to undo my recent edit to the Bluetooth page. "Registering just to promote your software is not accepted here." I've been using ArchLinux for years and always sought to make my software available on AUR. This one specifically has been on there for a couple of years. I'm not being paid or sponsored, it's freely available. I see that there were other console-based tools that were added by their authors too.. I thought it contributed well with the article. Obviously you disagree with that.. That's your choice.
I hope another, different user sees its value on the page, or that I pass some sort of arbitrary number of edits before a change like this is more acceptable. Have a good day. Ztroop (talk) 14:29, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, I think here is the wrong place for your concern. To present your idea and cause to others, please post it in Talk:Bluetooth. As far as I can see this is your 1st post in Arch and you were not in the arch forum as well.

- Honestly, if this was the reaction to what I thought was contributing. I no longer want to be involved. I don't want to generate a debate. If my user status (new) is a problem. I'll spend my energy elsewhere, thank you. Ztroop (talk) 14:40, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, your "new" state is not the problem, but that you used your new account only for advertising your own software. I might be wrong with my undo, that is why you should put it into the talk page, senior stuff may decide otherwise. Arch is a place for open discussion with arguments. Your reaction to not take part in an open discussion let me think my undo was the correct decision, and you are not fit for arch community. I would be happy to see you proving me wrong, and taking your case in the talk page.
