MSI Alpha B5EEK Mystic Light

Although the official Mystic Light software is unsupported on Linux, the Alpha B5EEK keyboard light is a USB device with the model MS-1563. There is a an open thread on OpenRGB GitLab about it: https://gitlab.com/CalcProgrammer1/OpenRGB/-/issues/2289. One of the users there wrote a Python Script that can interface with the keyboard: https://gitlab.com/CalcProgrammer1/OpenRGB/uploads/78c4e5c598147d6d8a66c2d59a4b19cd/msi-mystic-1563.py. Furthermore, MSI Center + Mystic Light can interface with the LED in a Virtual Machine if the SMBIOS is forwarded with <smbios mode="host"/> in between the <os></os> tags. However, I'm not sure exactly which part of the SMBIOS causes it to work. LordXerus (talk) 00:45, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
