- For the reasons I outlined on the talk page: the material I moved is (a) unecessarily complex, (b) is essentially a series of variations on a theme; the basics are now explained at the top of the page--with some cleanup still needed, and (c) people can read the BBS thread to see specific examples *once they have grapsed the basics*...
- I also think that, for customizing a prompt, the directions should be on $HOME, *not* /etc, with a note at the end of the article that any systemwide changes can be added to these files. jasonwryan (talk) 16:28, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
